Get ready for a summer blast this July! Over three action-packed Saturdays, students will transform into Food Scientists and Dirt Detectives to uncover the secrets of the snack drawer and the world beneath their feet.

Dive into the fascinating world where science meets snacks! Students will become food scientists, using ingredients they know to explore chemical reactions, molecular structure, and preservation techniques. Make ice cream in a bag, explore the chemistry of making bread rise, and investigate how temperature changes food. It’s a deliciously fun way to see that science is everywhere, even in the kitchen!

The adventure culminates in a grand-finale city field trip, where we’ll trek from the mud of the Sprout Garden to the shelves of a Food Pantry. It’s the ultimate Saturday series for kids who want to get their hands dirty, their bellies full, and their minds blown by the science of the city!
