2026 Waukee Community Education: Astrolab

Welcome to AstroLab—where young scientists become space explorers! In this hands-on program, students discover how rockets launch, how planets move, and how engineers design for space. Through fun experiments and building challenges, kids launch bottle rockets, test paper airplanes, design Mars rover wheels, explore moon phases and craters, and learn how light and the Sun help us explore the universe.
Each session is a new mission. Students train like real scientists and engineers while solving problems, asking questions, and testing ideas. They create a swirling Jupiter jar, investigate space science, and use beginner coding games to complete exciting missions.
AstroLab builds curiosity, confidence, teamwork, and critical thinking in a fun, engaging environment. No experience is needed—just imagination, courage, and a love of discovery.
Cadets, prepare for launch and get ready for an unforgettable STEM adventure!
